谈哲敏校长会见法国驻上海总领事王度

4月30日,法国驻上海总领事王度(Joan VALADOU)率队访问南京大学。南京大学校长、中国科学院院士谈哲敏在仙林校区会见了王度一行。


谈哲敏代表南京大学欢迎王度一行的到来。他从校史沿革、师资队伍、科研创新、开放办学等方面介绍了南京大学的基本情况。谈哲敏指出,南京大学高度重视国际交流与合作,长期以来,与法国多所高校、科研机构在地学、天文、建筑等领域开展了广泛而深入的合作,取得了显著成果,产生了深远影响。谈哲敏表示,展望未来,期待南京大学与法国社会各界在法语人才培养、师生互访、科考项目等方面进一步加强合作,增进两国青年学子对中法文化的理解,促进文明交流互鉴。

王度向南京大学对中法交流的支持和贡献致以衷心的感谢。他指出,南京大学久负盛名、历史悠久,双方在教育合作方面有着广阔的空间。站在中法合作开启“新甲子”的起点上,期待双方持续推进新项目,建立更加成熟、稳定的伙伴关系。王度表示,希望与南京大学进一步深化交流,建立常态化合作,促进青年学子互访,共同为中法教育合作高质量发展做出新的更大贡献,同时希望南京大学能够继续关注和支持“法语活动月”“中法环境月”等文化交流活动。

访问期间,王度一行访问国际关系学院,同国际关系学院、外国语学院师生代表就中法参与全球文化治理、推动世界文化多样性、中法与联合国教科文组织合作等话题展开交流。

Tan Zhemin meets with Joan Valadou, the French Consul General in Shanghai

On April 30, Joan Valadou, the French Consul General in Shanghai led a delegation to Nanjing University. Tan Zhemin, President of NJU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences met the delegation on Xianlin Campus.


Tan Zhemin welcomed Joan Valadou and his delegation. He introduced the basic situation of NJU from the aspects of her history, faculty, research and innovation, and experience of open school running. He pointed out that NJU attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and has long carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation with a number of French universities and scientific research institutions in geosciences, astronomy, architecture and other fields, which have achieved remarkable results and produced far-reaching impacts. Looking ahead, he expects NJU to further strengthen cooperation with all sectors of French society in talent training, mutual visits of teachers and students, scientific research projects, so as to enhance the understanding of Chinese and French cultures among young students of the two countries, and to promote the exchanges and mutual understanding of civilizations.


Joan Valadou expressed his heartfelt thanks to NJU for its support and contribution to Sino-French exchanges. He pointed out that NJU has a prestigious reputation and a long history, and there is a broad space for cooperation in education between the two sides. He wishes that both sides could continue to promote new projects and establish a more mature and stable partnership. Joan Valadou said he hoped to further deepen exchanges with NJU, establish regular cooperation, promote mutual visits of young students, and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of Sino-French educational cooperation. He also hoped that NJU would continue to support Mois de la francophonie and Mois franco-chinois de l’environnement and other cultural activities.


The delegation visited the School of International Studies and the School of Foreign Studies, and discussed with representatives of teachers and students on the participation of China and France in global cultural governance, the promotion of cultural diversity in the world, and the co-operation between China, France and UNESCO.
